I’m Zafirina, a newbie programmer.
Since I was a child, painting was always my passion. I also like to play video games, or to cook, to bake, to play ping pong, to many other things as well, but nothing was like painting. It has been always my favorite activity. So, why did I become a programmer? There’s a long story.
As I just said, I loved to paint since very young.
During kinder garden, I gave my paintings to my favorite miss.
During elementary, I dreamed about becoming a famous painter when I grow up.
During junior high, I paused cartoons I recorded to imitate their painting skills, and pasted those into my room.
During senior high, I joined to a comic club and created comics with other members.
But in college, my major had nothing to do with painting, I majored Japanese language. I was planning going to Japan after graduation, to study about 3d CG, and then work in a Japanese game developing company. However, I got some data saying that getting into a game developing company as a cg designer was pretty difficult. Instead, it was much easier as a programmer.
Suddenly, I remembered I had experience making a website using only notepad.
“Programming could be a little bit difficult comparing to making webpages, but should be very similar, since they were both written in text editors. I’m not bad learning new languages, programming languages should not be that hard to me.”
…that was what I thought. And now, here I am, enjoining both programming and painting.
One could never know what’s gonna happen in one’s life. So I decided just to do my best, and enjoy it.
